Ludfor, one of the largest managers of the free energy market in Brazil, announces the acquisition of Alka Energia, an energy sector company from Santa Catarina. The company, which had until then been part of the Agricoble Group, was acquired by Viva Energia, a subsidiary of the Ludfor Group with a strong presence in the field of distributed generation. With the acquisition, Viva Energia adds a total of 58 plants and 2,000 consumer units to its portfolio. Alka’s revenues were approximately R$30 million in 2023, and Ludfor’s objective in purchasing the company was to further expand its distributed generation operations in Brazil, as well as to implement innovative strategies and transform consumers’ experience in the free energy market.

Growth in 2024
Ludfor currently operates 4,400 customers, with an average consumption of around 1,000 MW. Among these companies, the company served 650 companies from January to July this year, with the opening of the duty free market. The number already exceeds all customer acquisitions for the entire year of 2023. In 2024, it is expected to add a total of 1,300 clients to the group’s portfolio. As a result, revenues are expected to double compared to last year and exceed R$600 million in 2024.
