Each year WalletHub looks at various quality of life issues such as the best and worst places to raise a family, energy costs, happiest states etc. Just released are its Greenest Cities in America (2024) findings.
Disclaimer: I don’t spend much time digging into methodology. However, the basic structure of this evaluation seems reasonable and the data sources are credible and varied. I’ve included all the data sources below.
With analyses like this I think the key take-away is the relative performance more than the absolute scores achieved by any particular city.
