In response to the growing challenge of climate change and the urgent need to reduce emissions of polluting gases, SIAMIG Bioenergia launches, on Tuesday, the project “Ethanol. You refuel, life thanks you”. The action will be implemented in Belo Horizonte and in more than 200 municipalities, which represent 40% of fuel consumption in the state of Minas Gerais. The goal is to raise awareness among the population about the benefits of ethanol, both for the environment and the economy. The campaign was produced by the Philadelphia agency, one of the most famous agencies in the state of Minas Gerais, ensuring a high level of creative implementation.
Minas Gerais, one of Brazil’s largest ethanol production centers, is at the center of this new initiative. Biofuel is a renewable energy source that emits up to 90% fewer pollutants than gasoline, significantly reducing air pollution and improving the quality of life in urban areas. In addition to its environmental benefits, ethanol improves the performance of vehicle engines, providing cleaner combustion and increased engine durability.
Economic impact is also a central focus of the campaign. The bioenergy sector is responsible for generating thousands of jobs in the state. According to the Department of Labor and Employment, more than 190,000 direct and indirect jobs were created in 2022, boosting the local economy. Another highlight is the competitive price of ethanol, which is positioned as a sustainable and economical alternative for drivers. The campaign’s slogan reinforces this idea: “Ethanol takes your pocketbook, your car and the planet into account.”
Mario Campos, President of SIAMIG Bioenergia, highlights the importance of the campaign: “We are at a time when our choices directly affect the future of the environment. Ethanol is the solution that combines low environmental impact with economic benefits, both for consumers and for the State. We want to show that every miner can contribute to a more sustainable future by choosing ethanol, a choice that also brings financial benefits,” said Campos.
Camila Rocha, Communications and Marketing Director of SIAMIG Bioenergia, reinforces the commitment to action and highlights the scope of the advertising pieces: “This campaign has been carefully designed to dialogue with the public in Minas Gerais, showing that ethanol is the smartest and most responsible choice. The campaign will be broadcast on different communication channels, with pieces displayed on television, radio, bus rears, LED panels and bonnets, in addition to working hard on digital, among other activities. He stressed that our goal is to engage drivers and raise collective awareness about the importance of the choices we make when refueling.
With “Ethanol. You fill up, life thanks you”, SIAMIG Bioenergia hopes to encourage drivers in Minas Gerais to adopt ethanol as a practical and effective option to meet environmental and economic challenges, promoting sustainable and responsible development.
