SIAMIG Bioenergia has announced the appointment of Robert Lira, CEO of the associated company Delta Sucroenergia and Vice President of the Federation of Industries of Minas Gerais (FIEMG), as the first President of the Deliberative Council of the entity. Robert, known for his strong engagement and leadership in the sector, was unanimously elected for a term extending until 2026.
The elections took place on Monday (25/11) during the deliberative council meeting held in Uberaba. The selection of Robert Lira symbolizes the leadership of this new chapter in the management of SIAMIG Bioenergia, which has recently undergone a major restructuring of its structure and articles of association.
Previously known as the Association of Minas Gerais Sugar and Energy Industries, the entity has adopted its new name, the Association of Bioenergy and Sugar Industry of Minas Gerais, to reflect the development of the bioenergy sector in the state.
With her experience leading Delta Sucroenergia and her outstanding performance in FIEMG, Lyra promises to lead the Board of Directors with a strategic vision, contributing to strengthening SIAMIG Bioenergia’s role as a reference in sustainable development and decarbonization of the Brazilian energy matrix.
