Our cultural tradition (also) in energy
Speaking softly, agreeing with the person you are talking to, using jargon that is currently in fashion regarding the environment, promising to provide feedback “as soon as possible”, being friendly to everyone, and the list goes on!
This “attitude” generally generates a very positive perception from those “involved”.
And in Brazil this is very important. In the United States, for example, the focus is very different, as I have been able to attest over many years of providing consultancy to companies that wanted to consider having operations in the country or potentially – expanding their existing ones. American are basically “straightforward”.
Agreeing or disagreeing depends on what is “on the table for discussion”. The demand “returns” is precisely established. Being friendly or not is irrelevant. What matters are the objective results. Our Brazilian profile is a factor that makes “real” progress very difficult.
Meanwhile, we remain at the bottom of the market in GDP per capita.
