In today’s distributed world, managing the grid reliably and safely brings new challenges. Data management and usage in an increasingly digital operating environment, effective use of field crews with evolving grid responsibilities, and managing operations during emergencies and outages are examples of how this new landscape calls for new solutions.
In this PowerSession, we will look at how digital technology can bring new opportunities and improvements in grid operations. Core to this is understanding how to model the grid as a collection of assets while enabling existing and new workflows across traditionally siloed operations. With subject matter experts from IQGeo, SDG&E and SMUD, the audience will learn about how a digital solution built on geospatial intelligence that encompasses the grid enables new operating and planning paradigms.
