Jataí Agroindústria de Biocombustíveis Ltda. The unit goes into operation today, creating 500 direct and indirect jobs, and is expected to generate R$28 million per month in the southwestern region of Goiás. The unit will process 500 tons of corn per day, and the plant has the capacity to produce 210,000 liters of corn ethanol, 125 tons of DDG (animal feed byproduct), 7,500 kg of corn oil, and 50,000 liters of wine syrup per day. It is worth noting that the municipality of Jatay is considered one of the largest corn producers in the state of Goiás and Brazil. The industrial plant has the capacity to crush corn and sorghum. The operation of the new industry will also impact at least three renewable production chains: eucalyptus biomass; Ethanol industry and agricultural feed industry. To generate minimal environmental impact, the industrial plant was developed to environmentally correct standards, without generating any waste or wastewater, with conversion processes and use of 100% raw materials.
