The Government of Goiás, through the State Department of Agriculture, Livestock and Supplies (Seapa), signed an agreement with the Brazilian Small and Micro Business Support Service (Sebrae), at an event held on Tuesday (22/10), at the Sebrae Hall. The partnership aims to strengthen small-scale agricultural industries in Goiás, especially livestock products, so that producers have more marketing alternatives.
Through this partnership, Seapa bears 30% of the service costs and Sebrae contributes 70% of the value. Therefore, there are no costs for family farming. The cooperation for the benefit of small farmers was signed after the Inter-Consultative Institutions Protocol of Intent on the Trusted Foods Programme, which was signed during Technosho 2024.
Now, the next stage of the agreement will be to disseminate the public call to select 30 agricultural companies, which will receive technical support from Sinai, ranging from 40 to 80 hours, with the aim of obtaining the Trustworthy Food Seal on their products.
