On 12/16, the Government of Goiás inaugurated the first solar power plant of the State Health Network at the Hospital Estadual do Centro-Norte Goiano (HCN) in Uruaçu. The structure is capable of generating 330 MWh per year, the largest ever installed in hospitals in Brazil, and should provide cost savings in maintaining the unit. The handover, the result of a partnership between the state and the Equatorial State of Goiás, was officially made in a ceremony attended by Vice Governor Daniel Vilela.
This innovation will save the state R$ 160,000 annually. This hospital and this area will serve as a model for the expansion of other services, Daniel said, highlighting that the progress is in line with the development of public administration under the leadership of Governor Ronaldo Caedo.
