Last Thursday, September 12, CEO Otávio Lage de Sequeira Filho and CFO Rodrigo Pena participated in a meeting with representatives of the Xamano Group, a Chinese multinational company, and the Government of Goiás, in Goiânia/GO.
The Xamano Group is studying potential investments in Goiás to produce liquid ammonia using green technology. The meeting, attended by the Vice Governor of Goiás, Daniel Vilela, was aimed at understanding the state’s policies regarding this potential investment.
Jalles attended the meeting as a potential future consumer of liquid ammonia, which could be used as a fertilizer in its agricultural operations. If the partnership comes to fruition, Xamano intends to build a plant next to the industrial area of one of Jalles’ units in Goianésia. (consultative)
